XORION - CHAPTER 1: THE GENESIS

India-Wide Capture The Flag (CTF) Challenge by RedTeam

XORION: Chapter 1 – The Genesis is a story-driven Capture The Flag (CTF) competition designed to simulate real-world cybersecurity problem-solving in a high-pressure, offline environment. This chapter marks the beginning of the XORION series, where participants uncover the origins of a mysterious digital entity through hands-on challenges that test analytical thinking, technical skills, teamwork, and decision-making. With a structured progression from beginner to advanced difficulty, XORION focuses not just on tools, but on how teams think, collaborate, and adapt under time constraints. Conducted across RedTeam branches in India, the competition bridges the gap between learning and real-world cyber combat—making it ideal for cybersecurity students, ethical hackers, and professionals alike.

Capture The Flag (CTF) FAQ

A Capture The Flag (CTF) competition is a cybersecurity challenge where participants, also known as “hackers” or “players,” solve a series of security-related puzzles and challenges to find hidden flags. These flags are typically in the form of text strings or files and are located on vulnerable systems or within encrypted data.

This CTF is entirely offline, allowing participants to have real-world experience to tackle the challenges and compete and ensure defenses with proven tactics. You can join the competition with the link.

This CTF is open to participants of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced hackers. Students, professionals, and enthusiasts are all welcome to join the competition. No prior cybersecurity experience is required, although some challenges may be more challenging for beginners.

To register for the CTF, head over to our registration page on redteamctf.pentestgarage.com and follow the instructions. Participation is free, and you’ll need to provide a valid email address to receive updates and information about the competition.

The event will take place on November 17th and Venue will be at 42 Abu Dhabi.
